Ballymena President Andrew Morrison received the NIPGBL Senior Cup Trophy from President Sam Cunningham and competition sponsors Rod & Stephen Coleman.
Ulster Transport hosted the Final which was played on a great surface on a windy but dry evening.
Ballymena A started strongly and built up a 20 shot advantage with skips S Coleman (13-3) and N Robinson (10-1) to the fore.
Belmont B then started to reduce the deficit with G McTasney (9-4) and D Hamilton (11-6) leading the charge and suddenly there was a single figure gap.
The game however turned conclusively in Ballymena’s favour when these two Rinks lost counts of 5 & 6, Coleman took control of his game with another 6 and Robinson went on a run of seven scoring ends which also ended with a 6.
The fairytale run for Belmont B was over but they certainly enjoyed a terrific run with wins over Old Bleach and Dunbarton A teams.
Ballymena A retained the trophy for the first time in their history and will take confidence into their final league games.
Final scores 89 – 53
S Coleman 29 A Sloan 12
N Robinson 27 J McBride 6
A Duncan 20 G McTasney 14
A Morrison 13 D Hamilton 21
League Secretary Terry McIlroy will be glad to see the three cup competitions completed and President Sam Cunningham thanked both teams, the Sponsors Coleman Brothers, host club Ulster Transport and the Umpire for making it a great final.
