The next two Sundays will see Centenary events return with many players having an opportunity to join in the celebrations.
On the 13th August a PGL President’s select team will take on a team representing the other three Associations at Transport BC.
A week later Falls BC will be the venue for the “100 ends for 100 years” event. The action will last all day with a series of contests designed to bring together club representatives, current and past PGL players and some legends of the game.
The fun gets underway at 10am with matches involving a representative from each PGL club.
At 12.00 a current PGL Under 25 team will play a match against a team made up of former PGL Junior Internationals.
At 2.00 and 4.00 PGL representative teams will take on Falls Select teams and the concluding action at 6.00 will feature what might be described as ‘Stars from the past’ versus ‘Young stars in the making’.
The host clubs and PGL would be delighted to see as many spectators as possible drop in for an hour or two to enjoy the craic and help celebrate our 100 years of bowling.
