Pro snippet – Division 1 drama

Congratulations go to Dunbarton who held their nerve to take the Division 1 title in a night of drama for teams at each end of the league table.

Going into the final fixture the top three could have snatched the trophy while only half a point separated Falls and Ards for the second relegation spot.

However both issues were settled at Guildford where Dunbarton’s 7-0 victory over Ards gave them top spot on 101.5 points and condemned their opponents to Division two next season.

Ballymena A (97.5) secured runner up spot with a win over Falls (6-1) while Belmont A (94.5) had to settle for third.

Salisbury (96.5) will come up from Division two as champions along with Ballymena B (80.5) who become the first B team to play in the top tier.

Division three sees another B team who have had a great season move up as Belmont B are Champions on 92.5 points.

The Division four title goes to Comber (83.5) who finished 4 points clear of Transport B.

Mossley B took the Division five title.
