The spring meeting was held this evening (30th March) at Willowfield BC and clubs were issued with documentation for the season ahead, Centenary books and badges.
The President M Nutt welcomed all the delegates and noted the unfurling on 8th April at Old Bleach BC.
D McCloy reported on the IBA situation with regard to the BLI seeking changes to the constitution, the successful increase in affiliated clubs and opening for a Treasurer to replace the outgoing D Graham.
D Forsythe asked all clubs to carefully check documentation, honesty complete capitation fees (£3 compared to BLI €23) and encourage sponsors (large or small) to come onboard in this Centenary year.
Unfortunately the 3 rink league will not run as only 2 clubs expressed an interest. The GP committee will continue to investigate the proposal to allow limited numbers of lady members to participate in the Midweek cup next season.
Gallahers BC have sadly withdrawn from the league due to lack of members.
Macmillan Cancer Support will be our charity for this year. Collecting boxes have been distributed to all clubs and we would encourage all members to contribute during the season.
T McIlroy asked clubs to take care when completing score cards and to notify him in writing in the event of rearranging fixtures.
Pat Butler offered thanks and congratulations to the Centenary committee for their work on the book and launch event.
