Due to ongoing roadworks – M22/A6 dualling scheme – there have been significant delays for all traffic coming in to Randalstown coming off the M2 northbound from Belfast. Last Saturday (14th April) the end of the motorway was closed completely for 2 days and saw significant traffic tailbacks with waits of up to an hour to get in to the town. The end of the motorway is closed again this Saturday 21st with potential for further weekend closures whilst new bridges are erected along the route. Even during weekdays there are still significant delays during evening rush hour coming in to Randalstown. If you are travelling for either a Saturday game or Tuesday night match or for any Championship Competition please ensure you leave yourself enough travelling time to allow for delays. If you are familiar with the area you could divert off the M2 at Junction 1 across the A26 towards Ballymena and come in to Randalstown via the Whitesides Road, Ahoghill Road and down through the top of the Neillsbrook Estate but appreciate that this is a significant diversion to avoid the traffic. If there are any further announcements regarding roadworks we will post these on the website ASAP. Thank you.
