It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of NIPGBL Past President, Tommy O'Boyle (Mossley B.C.) who passed away on Sunday 23rd August. To Tommy's family and his friends, we offer our deepest sympathy at this time of loss.
Tommy served as NIPGBL President in 2013.
Tommy's funeral is on Friday 28th, leaving his late home at 9.15am to arrive at St Bernard’s Church, 165 Antrim Road, Glengormley for Requiem Mass at 9.45am. Committal afterwards in Antrim & Newtownabbey Crematorium.

Could we ask for anyone in possession of NIPGL Championship trophies - Winners or Runners-Up - to please return them ASAP to allow for engraving.

I thank NICS Bowling Club for nominating me to represent you all as the Northern Ireland Private Greens Bowling League President for 2026.
While I feel honoured and privileged to see my name alongside the Presidents who have held this position, I think of the previous members of my club who have been President namely E McNaw (1965), J H Graham (1988) and most recently D Forsythe (2012).
I look forward to visiting every PGL club throughout the season and I will endeavour to represent them as well as the Association to the best of my ability.
Finally, I wish all our members, good health, good weather, enjoyable bowling and every success in whatever competition you may enter in the 2026 season.
