Individual Competitions 2020
The draws for each of the Individual Competitions can be found by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page – there is also a PDF version which can be downloaded for printing purposes. I have also attached a downloadable copy of the BASIC RULES and the NIPGL GUIDELINES for a safe return to competitive play. Can I remind clubs that if you have not already done so could you please forward your affiliation fee to the Honorary Treasurer by 31st July 2020.
Just to give members a further update on the plate competitions for the Individual Singles and Pairs: The plate competition will be drawn immediately after the result of the first round proper for both singles (3rd August) and pairs (7th August). It will be done again as an open draw and if any additional evenings are required to complete a round I will contact clubs directly to make arrangements. So, can we ask that players please take note – ALL RUNNERS-UP IN BOTH THE PREMLINARY ROUNDS AND RUNNERS-UP IN THE FIRST ROUND PROPER OF EACH COMPETITION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED IN TO THE PLATE COMPETITIONS. This means that players drawn in the preliminary rounds of each competition will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 games. I trust that this all makes sense but should you need to contact me please do so.
I thank everyone who has taken the time to enter and support our efforts to facilitate some competitive play this season but I would stress that should the situation change the GP Committee reserves the right to cancel any and all competitions at any stage.
Dress Code – Greys and Club tops – changing rooms should be out of bounds until further notice and players must arrive ready to play.
Singles is first to 21, Pairs is 18 ends. All competitions start at 6.30pm. All hygiene precautions should be taken on completing a draw or marking cards. Results should be returned by phone, text or Whats app to Mark Tait – 07977 987297. Details for Semi-Finals and Finals will be published in due course.
