CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALS PROGRAMME – SATURDAY 14TH AUGUST

FAO: All players, Officials and Spectators.

To say that getting the semi-finals and finals completed this season has been challenging is somewhat of an understatement. The last few evenings have produced some outstanding matches with extremely high quality bowls being played and many of the games not decided until the last bowl is thrown. That said other events outside the control of myself or the GP committee has meant we have had to take some difficult decisions in a constantly changing environment. As a result of Covid issues and more recently players involved with international duties this coming weekend the finals programme has had to be shortened to accommodate these issues. The GP committee has agreed that no player will be disadvantaged due to issues outside either their control or ours and until the outcomes of some of the semi-final matches were known it was impossible to make decisions any sooner.

Therefore there will only be 4 finals matches played on Saturday 14th August – ALL AT LARNE BC

PAIRS – 10AM START (Bowls inspection 9.45AM)

SENIOR FOURS – 2PM START (Bowls inspection 1.45PM)

UNDER 25 & OPEN SINGLES – 3PM START (Bowls inspection 2.45PM)

Once the last of the Pairs and Fours semi-finals are completed this evening (Thursday 12th August) the draws will be updated and posted accordingly on the website and Facebook pages.

UNDER 18s, TRIPLE & FOURS

The plan for the outstanding competitions is to complete these three disciplines on the week commencing 23rd August with the aim to have the finals completed by Wednesday 25th August. Further details will be posted on the website and Facebook pages ASAP.
