Firstly, my thanks to all the players who last night got the last of the triples quarter finals completed in awful weather.

The forthcoming semi-finals have been affected in numerous ways – namely duplications, triplications and in one case one person playing in four semi-finals. Covid has also played its part which is why the programme below is so spread out throughout next week. I would like to obviously wish all those affected by covid a speedy recovery and thank their opponents for agreeing to move matches. I always believe that the result is best decided on the green and the GP committee and myself have made every effort to accommodate all scenarios. I would also like to thank Pickie BC and our Umpires for accommodating us all week.

So finally the semi-final programme is now complete and posted below. As mentioned before there is every possibility that finals will have to be played both Friday evening and Saturday so I ask players again to make themselves available for all eventualities.

DRESS CODE IS GREYS/CLUB TROUSERS AND CLUB SHIRTS – NO WHITES REQUIRED THIS WEEK.

Scorecards and bowls stickers will be provided each evening for all competitors.

Would the UNDER 18 Singles semi-finalists please take note that it is a 6pm start on Tuesday and a 9.30am Start Saturday with bowls inspection at 5.45pm and 9.15am respectively. The UNDER 25 and Open Singles will commence at 7.30pm, with a bowls inspection at 7.15pm. All other competitions will commence at 6.30pm with a bowls inspection at 6.15pm.
