Among the items of business transacted at the latest NIPGBL General Purposes Committee meeting, members heard that:

• league fixtures for the new season are at an advanced stage of preparation and will soon be ready for final checks
• the league programme is scheduled to begin on Saturday 23rd April
• the draws for the IBA Cups will not take place until next month
• Ballywalter Bowling Club will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its formation this season
• plans are being put in place to celebrate the unique achievement of the NIPGBL representatives who completed an unprecedented clean sweep of the 2021 Irish Championships
• Belmont BC will host a Home Nations Junior International series on 17th and 18th September with details of the format still to be formalised
• The 2019 Irish Champions will have the opportunity to contest British Isles Championships in Llandrindod Wells between 30th May and 3rd June
• no agreement has been reached on the future of the senior home international series
