FAO All Club Secretaries

Just an update to my previous correspondence last week. I have received some positive responses so far and have been asked several questions about what we can and cannot achieve in the short space of time we have left of the season. One question that was asked is if we would perhaps consider a cup style competition for the midweek teams in the same format of 4 pair teams. Having consulted over the weekend the league secretary is agreeable to this suggestion and would be willing to organise this.

Any rules for the competitions will be basic.

Again, all of the proposed competitions will be based on the initial interest from clubs and on the number of entries received. Hopefully I will be in a position to send out entry forms this coming weekend and will include a midweek cup on the entry form.

As we stated in the previous post we would be happy for clubs to enter more than 1 team but as a rule of thumb to help with the draws we would suggest the following.

SATURDAY TEAMS
We will permit up to 2 teams per clubs if the club has only 1 green and up to 4 teams if the club has 2 greens.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DRAWS MAY NEED TO BE AMENDED IF BOTH TEAMS WERE DRAWN AT HOME IN THE CASE OF A CLUB WITH ONE GREEN OR IF 3 OR MORE TEAMS WERE DRAWN AT HOME IN THE CASE OF A CLUB WITH 2 GREENS. THIS WILL ENSURE THE CORRECT NUMBER OF HOME AND AWAY DRAWS

MIDWEEK TEAM
We would suggest that clubs enter no more than 2 teams (4 pairs per team) for any midweek competition.
